Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie, Figaro and Grete

::purr::

Hi there!  I'm still not out in my garden.  It's been non-stop soggy rain around here.  The weatherperson says that we have 3 inches more than the average rainfall for the month and the month is not yet over!  Sigh.  Purrfect weather for a snooze with a good garden book.  This one, by Ann Lovejoy is one of mom's favorites because it's about year-round gardening in the Pacific Northwest.  I like it too.

Grete woofie is making sure all is well in the garden.  She doesn't much care if it's muddy as long as it's not pouring.  When there is a break in the rain she wants to be out there with her ball.

Here are my raspberry plants asleep for the winter.  The beds have been cleaned out and the stalks have been trimmed.

Figaro still insists on going out, but doesn't stay there for long.  He refused to sit still for mom to take a picture because it was so damp and muddy.  He was on his way back to the house where he got his muddy paws wiped down.

This is just not the best gardening weather, so I think I'll just show you how I spent my Christmas morning, among the boxes and bows...yes, yours truly enjoying a nice comfy nap.  For those of you who know I've been going back and forth to the v-e-t to get my itches under control, apparently this is the worst flea season our v-e-t has ever seen.   I wasn't even the only cat having lots of trouble...our v-e-t saw several like me this past week.  Mom has sprayed the house and carpet and she has us all on Frontline...I'm just super sensitive and all it takes is one little bite and I react.  So I've been on antibiotics for my skin and prednisone pills.  I'm getting better but it's a slow process and an epic battle with the nasty fleas.
