Momma Meezer Monday

I want to set the record straight on what goes on around here.  See...Figaro, Ginger, Jonesie, Madison...they all think they are mom's favorite.

She's pulling their paws!  I know it.

If you listen carefully to mom, she's a bit tricky.  She'll say stuff to Figaro like "you are my most favorite handsomest furry tuxie boy"...and he falls for it!  Every time!

See...here's the secret....he's the ONLY  furry tuxie boy in our family.  There's another tuxie in the family, our Bennette, but she's mom's favorite weensy feisty tuxie girl...and of course the ONLY one in our family that is a weensy feisty tuxiegirl.

And what does she say to Ginger "you are my most favorite handsomest gossipy tabby furball boy"...yeah...you guessed it...he's the ONLY gossipy tabby furball boy in our family.

But of course when she fusses over me and calls me the best momma on the planet, and her most favorite Meezer momma girl,  I know she's telling me the truth.

Purrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Wordless Wednesday

Momma Meezer Monday

I can't believe the Olympics are over.  We had such fun...and my daughter Cory had quite an adventure with her boyfurriend Alfie.   They even went to the closing ceremonies together and snuck up on stage for a bit.

I couldn't believe my eyes!

So now what will we do with our time?  The Olympics created such awesome lap time in our house.
What's that Cory?  Oh yes, we can wash and play and have some quality mom/daughter time.
I think I'd like that.

Purrrrr.

Mitten Monday

My mom and I spent a lot of time together last week watching the Olympics.  Her favorite is watching the rowing events.  She had a special app on her iPad so she could watch ALL of the events.  Every heat, semi, petite finals and finals.  Sheesh!
All the splashing around and no matter how much I meowed and swatted at them, they didn't go any faster.  At least I think they didn't.
 Sigh.

It all makes me a bit sleepy.   And we still have a whole week to go.  Wonder what we'll be watching next.

Meowing about the Olympics...my momma Ellie and my brother Figaro found out they did NOT medal in the competitive napping events.  Unfazed by this turn of events, they promptly went back into training for the Winter Games 2014!

Momma Meezer and Mitten Monday

 zzzzzzzz.....Oh! I didn't see you come in!
Hi there!  Momma Ellie and me here!  I realized how often all the other kitties hog the blog and my momma doesn't get much face time.  I mean, she's in all of our faces all the time, washing and licking and stuff.    Mom says it's because my momma Ellie is "busy".  She's always on the move and unless she's asleep she's moving.  Many of the pictures of her come out blurry and stuff.
Every once in awhile, mom gets a good photo of us together.
But you can see momma Ellie is still busy washing me...
 ...and uh...ooops!
All this photo stuff is making me sleepy!

Cory Meows About the Balance Beam

Hi everyone!  We want to make sure to remind everyone that we are accepting entries into the Balance Beam competition until July 13th.  We have set up a separate page on the blog.  You can click the tab for Cat-O-Lympics or click our link.  Instructions on how to enter will be on the page, but really it's easy.  Just send a photo of yourself...whether you are a kitty or a woofie...balancing on something.
Although we will be hosting and not entering, we wanted to demonstrate how it's done.  This past weekend, Bennette agreed to show her skills.  My momma and I were nervous with anticipation.  We did not spot her.  Whoa!
Ta da!  Yup, that's how it's done!

Mitten and Momma Monday

It seems like EVERYONE in our family gets to go outside...except for us.

Oh yeah and Nigel...who won't put a paw near a door no matter what.

My momma Ellie and I had to amuse ourselves by looking out the window.

Ellie and Cory's Gotcha Day!

We woke up this morning and were terribly upset that mom seemed to have ::forgotten:: our Gotcha Day!

Ellie:  I immediately went to work, running through the house and bunnykicking my parents feet until they yelled at me to stop.  I didn't.

Finally mom read our messages from our good furriends and finally got the message.  Yes, it is our 6th anniversary of our Gotcha Day!  The most important day of the year.

We wouldn't be here if it weren't for the wonderful humans at United Paws.  They saved our lives and made sure we got the best forever home EVER!  Together!!!

::purrrrrr::

Cory in her daddy's arms at the foster home.

Ellie checking out the travel carrier before saying her goodbyes.

I don't think we've ever written about this, but our ride home was quite the adventure.  We had to drive an hour and a half to get home and we had  never had much experience in a car.  Momma Ellie had panic attacks which meant that mom and dad had to drive slow and stop lots of times to calm her down.  When we eventually got to our new home, we were thrilled.  We immediately settled in on the couch and had a nice long nursing session.

Below is a photo taken with Momma Ellie's favorite toy in the whole wide world "beloved snakie".  She played with this until it finally completely fell apart.  Momma still misses him.

Momma Meezer and Madison on Monday

Hi there furriends!  Thanks for stopping by for my birthday yesterday.  I had a fabulous day.  The sun was shining and I got to be outside with my family.   And best of all?  The present I got from my best girl Cecilia.  I may be 16 but I still got it!

Smooch!

Ellie was a bit tired from her double celebration of Mother's Day and her birthday.  Ellie is 7 years young.
