Momma Meezer Monday

I want to set the record straight on what goes on around here.  See...Figaro, Ginger, Jonesie, Madison...they all think they are mom's favorite.

She's pulling their paws!  I know it.

If you listen carefully to mom, she's a bit tricky.  She'll say stuff to Figaro like "you are my most favorite handsomest furry tuxie boy"...and he falls for it!  Every time!

See...here's the secret....he's the ONLY  furry tuxie boy in our family.  There's another tuxie in the family, our Bennette, but she's mom's favorite weensy feisty tuxie girl...and of course the ONLY one in our family that is a weensy feisty tuxiegirl.

And what does she say to Ginger "you are my most favorite handsomest gossipy tabby furball boy"...yeah...you guessed it...he's the ONLY gossipy tabby furball boy in our family.

But of course when she fusses over me and calls me the best momma on the planet, and her most favorite Meezer momma girl,  I know she's telling me the truth.

Purrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Wordless Wednesday

Mitten and Momma Monday

It seems like EVERYONE in our family gets to go outside...except for us.

Oh yeah and Nigel...who won't put a paw near a door no matter what.

My momma Ellie and I had to amuse ourselves by looking out the window.

Ellie and Cory's Gotcha Day!

We woke up this morning and were terribly upset that mom seemed to have ::forgotten:: our Gotcha Day!

Ellie:  I immediately went to work, running through the house and bunnykicking my parents feet until they yelled at me to stop.  I didn't.

Finally mom read our messages from our good furriends and finally got the message.  Yes, it is our 6th anniversary of our Gotcha Day!  The most important day of the year.

We wouldn't be here if it weren't for the wonderful humans at United Paws.  They saved our lives and made sure we got the best forever home EVER!  Together!!!

::purrrrrr::

Ellie checking out the travel carrier before saying her goodbyes.

I don't think we've ever written about this, but our ride home was quite the adventure.  We had to drive an hour and a half to get home and we had  never had much experience in a car.  Momma Ellie had panic attacks which meant that mom and dad had to drive slow and stop lots of times to calm her down.  When we eventually got to our new home, we were thrilled.  We immediately settled in on the couch and had a nice long nursing session.

Below is a photo taken with Momma Ellie's favorite toy in the whole wide world "beloved snakie".  She played with this until it finally completely fell apart.  Momma still misses him.

Wordless Wednesday

Tasty Tuesday

Oh wow, what's this that Jonesie brought in for us?

Chomp, lick, lick...

Chomp ::nip::!!!!

Look momma, enough to share ::chomp:: ::lick:: ::purrrrr::

Excuse us while we attend to our nip...

Tongues on Tuesday

I know I make this look easy!   It takes years of careful practice to get the curl just right.

Tuesday Takeover with Momma Ellie

Hi there! I'm the momma around here, so I've booted Miss Ginger and Miss Bennette and Mr. Figaro from Tabby Tuesday this and Tuxie Tuesday that.

It was our 3rd Blogoversary yesterday and mom forgot!  Good thing our furriends in the Cat Blogosphere remembered us.  You know this bloggie got started because my daughter Cory was spending quite a bit of time on the laptop opening up notepad with her paws and cute little bottom.  She'd type stuff all on her own, so our mom figured she should help our daughter out.  Give Cory an official way to communicate.

Yes, that's right, OUR daughter.  Cory has 2 mommas.

This bloggie was supposed to be mostly about me and Cory, but with 9 of us kitties and our woofie Grete, it's hard to get time on our own blog.  That plus the fact that Cory and I are not easy to photograph. Seems that unless we are asleep, we are in constant motion.

Move a little to left Cory...let me sniff...yeah that's right.

Uh, now where was I?

Oh yes, it takes about a kazillion photos of us to get few good ones.   There are too many things to do...too many bugs to chase and too many kitties to wash to sit still.  I was not meant to be a kitty supermodel.

Although my mom tells me I've got the looks for it!

Wordy Wednesday

I'm worried about my daughter Cory.  She was hauled off to the v-e-t on Saturday and they stole some blood from her.  She's not sick, but the v-e-t said her teeth need to be cleaned, so she had blood stolen so they can test it to make sure it's safe to put her "under" so they can take care of her icky teeth.

She goes in early Thursday morning.  I don't like it when my daughter is out of my sight.  I hope they take good care of her.  I will be purring hard until she returns home safe and sound.

Please purr with me, ok?

ZZZzzzzzzzz....wha?  You mean I won't get my Fancy Feast breakfast tomorrow?

Momma Meezer and The Mitten Monday

The litterbox room saga continues!  It's moving along, but it still not done.

The tile had to be ripped out and re-done.  Cory and I are not easy to please.  We expect it to be purrfect.

Oh yeah, I know that Cory showed you her teeth last week. Not to be upstaged by my very own daughter...here are my choppers.  I too will need to see my dentist...but not right away.

So what do you think Cory?  Yeah...still more work to do.

Sigh.

Cory and Ellie Support United Paws of Tillamook

We are super duper excited to announce that United Paws of Tillamook has been selected as Romeo the Cat's FURPOWER organization for June!  We owe our furry little lives to United Paws, so we are thrilled to be able to lend a paw so they can continue their good work helping people and kitties.   Romeo knows that even $1 can make a difference, so if you can spare $1 or more if you can, please follow the link to Romeo's blog and contribute to the cause.

I was only a tiny baby kitten when I was rescued so I don't remember too much about it.   Last year, United Paws spay/neutered 959 cats and dogs and found homes for 201.  This is in a county without a cat shelter, so United Paws has to rely on a group of wonderful volunteer foster families to care for kitties like me.  I was one of the lucky ones.

I remember the whole rescue and my wonderful foster momma.  I will be forever grateful to United Paws for saving me and my 6 nursing kittens, including my darling baby girl Cory.

We both purr knowing that they continue their good work, but they need your support!  As Romeo meows, even $1 can help.

Will you lend a paw?
