Mitten Monday
Hey, guess what everyone! It's 'tocktober! Time to show it all off!
Since I've given over my blog to Ginger and Figaro the past few weeks, I'll throw in a little tummy too!
Why not! Ha! It's my blog after all!
Just to update everyone on Ginger...he seems to be doing just fine now, although mom is a bit obsessed with him to make sure he's doing what he needs to do...if you know what I mean. And Figaro...he's doing better too, not sniffling anymore. Ginger and Bennette celebrated their Gotcha Day over the weekend. Ginger has been here 4 years and Bennette came exactly 1 year later so she has been with us for 3 whole years.
I sang a sock song in their honor.
Mitten Monday
Mom participated in a fundraising bike ride on Saturday. That was a good thing because if she's going to leave me, then it makes it all better if it's for a good cause.
Mom said that she passed a street...the best named street in the whole world! That's right...Cory Street!!!
I asked mom if we could move there and she said no...so I did my best to imagine myself living there. A girl can dream, right?
Hey, maybe I can petition the city to rename the street where I live?
Mitten Monday- Cat Drinking Fountain Review
What's this?
Mom, is this the drinking fountain that was sent to us from Thirsty Cat Fountains?
It is! This is cool!
Keith, the nice man at Thirsty Cat Fountains, asked us if we'd like to try out one of his handmade drinking fountains. We said YES!
Before I was born, mom had tried the plastic drinking fountains that are available in the pet stores and mom said our kitties didn't like them at all. Mom thinks the plastic fountains are quite unattractive and they got clogged up with cat hair too easily. We were very interested in checking out a fountain that is beautiful and won't clog up.
When it arrived, mom filled it up with water and plugged it in. She thought it was awesome that there are seashells that cover up the cords and stuff. At first we were all super afraid of it. I mean, mom took away our regular water bowl and replaced it with this beauty that bubbles. It took a week for me to approach it.
My brother Figaro dived right in. As far as he was concerned it was love at first sight...um, drink. Of course Figaro will jump in the sink and stands out in the pouring rain. He likes water.
Mom loves the sound of it since it's a gentle bubbling sound. The other thing mom loves is that it is handmade right here in the US of A. Mom prefers to buy products locally...she likes to think she is a locavore and wants to support local or homegrown business whenever possible. In addition, this fountain is beautiful handmade ceramic and not plastic like other popular cat fountains.
We do drink out of it now, even though it took a couple of weeks for most of us. The water level goes down WAY faster than our regular bowl.
We suggest giving any new food bowl, water bowl or fountain time for the family to adjust. We were initially afraid of the fountain (except for Figaro). Mom tried move it to various locations around the house to see what would work best. We finally decided that it worked best where our old water bowl was.
Thank you Keith for letting us try it out. Please go visit his Etsy site where you'll find lots of beautiful handmade ceramic fountains and food bowls.
As a special offer on his Etsy site, Keith is giving a 10% discount on orders if you type in "corycat" (all lowercase) in the coupon code box when you check out.
**I was provided this beautiful fountain free of charge to review it.
Coming Home on Sunday
Cory: Bye bye Whitey! I don't want our adventure to end but I know we have to get back to our families. I hope you don't get in trouble for being gone a whole week. I'd love to stay with you in the swamp for a week or so, but I bet my mom misses me and is worried. Gotta go.
::soft nose kisses::
We'll do this again soon, ok?
I hope no one missed the Cheese Bus while I was using it. Um...uh...I think I better meow for a ride home!
MOM!!!!
Ellie: Where were you? I was worried sick! You uh...taste like cheese....
Mitten Monday
Cory here, reporting from my new cube! I think it's totally pawsome and all of us kitties fight over it and play King/Queen of the cube. We've never ever had one before even though we've seen lots of our furriends with them. Did mom buy it for us?
NO!
We had to rely on the love of our CB furriends Pawing it Forward to us. Mom and Dad get a big fat "F".
Well, maybe a D-, mom still hand feeds me cheese. Oh yeah and the dirty socks she gives me...maybe a C+. All these things will be taken into consideration when we start to write our annual purrfurmance reviews.
We are recommending an A+ to the mom and dad who helped their totally cool kitties send us a Paw it Forward box. Tune in tomorrow to see who it is!
Talking on Tuesday with Cory
Just because it's Tuesday doesn't mean I have to rollover and hand over my blog to Ginger, just because she's a tabby. And I'm not just going to hand it over to Figaro or Bennette because they're tuxies.
This is MY blog. Mine. And I've got stuff to say. Really I do.
I just forgot what it was. For now.
