Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie
::3 paw taps::
Welcome back to my garden. We still have cold damp weather, but it is no longer raining constantly. That means it's time to get busy!
Last week I got lots of questions about my rhubarb. We don't have it planted in full sun, although it gets plenty of sunshine. We have a fence nearby that kind of blocks the afternoon sun. It still does fine. I think it likes our northwest garden with lots of good soil and cool weather. I think rhubarb does not like hot, dry weather.
In the bed next to it are iris plants. There may be a few tulips in there too. I always forget until they pop up and bloom!
I'm not the cook around here so maybe I'll have Cory post about the rhubarb crisp recipe another day.
The grass will need to be mowed soon. I don't really like the sound of the lawn mower. I run and hide. But when the grass is freshly mowed, the yard looks beautiful and it smells wonderful. Like spring!
The gazebo needs to be checked out. Right now it has no roof, so if it rains, it's kinda useless to me. Unless I want to dash under it.
Hey there mom! I know you adore it when I sharpen my cute claws on your leg.
Dad still has not prepped this bed.
At least he got all the peat moss and sand and stuff...so it won't be long now! The most important part is prepping the soil.
Please leave a link so we can all visit each other!
