Monday Funday!
I was contacted by the nice people at a toy company...yes, you read that right...a toy company! Yay! I love toys!
They wanted me to try out one of their new toys. They thought it would be cool if I could test this out with my cat family and Grete woofie. I mean if it passes through all our paws with flying colors...well...anyway, we were up to the offer. I told mom to say YES!
The Anti-Gravity WEB RUNNER from Fantasma Toys is a remote controlled black widow spider that uses patent-pending air suction technology to operate on the floor, walls and even upside-down! It has fully functioning articulated legs, glowing red eyes and can move over smooth surfaces in any direction with 360 degrees of motion.
The spider is completely controlled wirelessly via its combination remote control and charging station. This is the first product to be developed based on the comic book called “A.G. Arachnids,” also created by Fantasma Toys. The suggested retail price is $39.99 and you can find it at Amazon.com and other places in addition to their website.
When the box came, my momma Ellie made me stay back. She was not at all sure about this "toy". I agreed to stay back in the box. The box was amazing and I loved it! This toy turned out to be a ginormous spider. While we normally eat up spiders without blinking, I think this was the mother of all spiders coming back to seek revenge. I tried to apologize for any spiders I may have eaten...but she wouldn't listen.
Mom followed the written instructions on how to get the spider charged up. She was proud of herself and said it was pretty easy to do. Then mom took over controlling the camera and dad controlled the spider.
Grete woofie went nutso! She barked and barked and barked. It hurt my ears!
Grete tried to protect Figaro from the monster spider. We were all kind of scared but mom was laughing at us. Can you believe that? Here we are battling for our lives from Shelob and mom is laughing.
Finally mom took Grete out of the room so I could make nice with the spider. It was kinda cool.
Mom says that she would not leave Grete in the room alone with the spider as it would be easy for her to eat it up and the plastic would not be good in her tummy at all. Grete did want to eat it. Mom thinks we will only be able to play with it when Grete is not in the room.
Here is a video of us running from playing with the spider.
